Independent GPR Gebouw Assessor — required for your certificate
GPR is the lighter, faster and more cost-effective route to a sustainability score for your building. Since 1 January 2026, that score must be independently validated by a licensed GPR Gebouw Assessor — and that's exactly what I provide.

Independent validation is now mandatory for the certificate
Since 1 January 2026, every GPR Gebouw calculation leading to a certificate must be independently validated by a licensed GPR Gebouw Assessor. Without that validation: no certificate. I'm licensed to carry out this validation — fast, independent and in line with the GPR Gebouw calculation quality assurance procedure.
- Required for all certificate processes
- Independent of who prepares the calculation
- In line with the quality assurance procedure
The efficient route to a sustainability score
GPR Gebouw makes a building's sustainability measurable across five themes, with a score from 1 to 10. For many projects it's a lighter, faster and more cost-effective route than BREEAM — and for residential construction, often the most logical choice.
Lighter & faster
Less documentation and a shorter turnaround than a BREEAM process.
More cost-effective
Lower costs, making it viable for more projects and budgets.
Strong for residential
Specifically suited to residential projects; municipalities often require it for area development and land allocation.
Five themes, one score
Energy, Environment, Health, Usability and Future value — each from 1 to 10.
A validated GPR score unlocks the MIA subsidy
A GPR Gebouw calculation validated by an independent Assessor can give access to tax benefits via the MIA/Vamil (Milieulijst). The independent validation is the key — and that's what I provide.
For the MIA/Vamil, the GPR calculation must be validated by an independent GPR Gebouw Assessor. No validation, no eligibility — precisely the bottleneck I remove for you.
I validate — independently and in line with the quality assurance procedure
A GPR Gebouw calculation is prepared by a GPR Expert. The independent GPR Gebouw Assessor then reviews that calculation objectively in line with the quality assurance procedure.
This page is about that Assessor role: I validate your calculation independently, so that it's valid for the certificate, the MIA subsidy or a tender. No conflict of interest — just a reliable, defensible score.
Want the calculation itself prepared? That falls under the Expert role — which I offer as support within your project team.
How the validation works
1
Submission of calculation & documentation
You or your GPR Expert submit the GPR Gebouw calculation and the supporting evidence.
2
Site visit & independent review
During a site visit, I check whether the situation on location matches the calculation. I then review the calculation, the inputs and the evidence objectively, in line with the GPR Gebouw calculation quality assurance procedure.
3
Validation & reporting
I record the validation in a clear report, so that your validated GPR score is well-founded and ready for the certificate, the MIA subsidy or a tender.
- The goal is always the same: a correct, defensible and efficient validation — so that your GPR score is reliably substantiated.

Surprises in the final phase
Now available as a GPR Gebouw Assessor
I'm recently licensed as a GPR Gebouw Assessor and work with the current GPR Gebouw methodology. For my first GPR projects, that means personal attention, short lines of communication and clear agreements — with the same independent, structured approach I already apply as a BREEAM Assessor.
- Licensed for the current GPR Gebouw methodology
- Proven Assessor track record within BREEAM
- Independent and in line with the quality assurance procedure
- Available for your first projects

Frequently asked questions about GPR validation
Yes. Since 1 January 2026, every GPR Gebouw calculation leading to a certificate must be independently validated by a licensed GPR Gebouw Assessor. Without that validation, no certificate is issued.
The GPR Expert prepares the calculation. The independent GPR Gebouw Assessor then reviews that calculation in line with the quality assurance procedure. The roles are deliberately separated, so that the validation is independent. On this page, I fulfil the Assessor role.
GPR is generally lighter, faster and more cost-effective than BREEAM, making it a more efficient route to a sustainability score for many projects. For residential construction it's often the most suitable choice, and municipalities regularly require it for area development and land allocation.
A validated GPR Gebouw calculation can give access to tax benefits via the MIA/Vamil (Milieulijst). Independent validation by a GPR Gebouw Assessor is a requirement here — precisely the step I provide.
Yes. You submit the GPR Gebouw calculation — prepared by yourself or your own GPR Expert — and I validate it independently. Don't have an Expert? Then I can support you with preparing it within your project team; that falls under Project Support and is kept separate from the independent validation.
It depends on the size and complexity of the project and the calculation. Request a no-obligation quote with a brief description, and you'll receive a suitable proposal quickly.
A GPR calculation that needs validating?
In a short conversation we'll look at which process it concerns — certificate, MIA subsidy or tender — and how best to set up the validation. I normally respond within two working days.
